I. Gen­er­al Provisions 

The web­site (the ​“Web­site”) is owned and oper­ated by Indus­tri­elle Bio­tech­no­lo­gie Bay­ern Net­zwerk GmbH with its seat at Für­sten­rieder Straße 279a, 4^th floor, 81377 Munich, Ger­many, and registered with the Com­mer­cial Court Munich under VAT DE 260523575 (here­in­after ​“IBB” or ​“We”).

These Terms will gov­ern the use of our Web­site, and the sale, pur­chase and use of event tick­ets or any oth­er kind of access con­firm­a­tions (“Tick­et”) by any vis­it­or of the Web­site (“You” or ​“Your”). Upon the pur­chase of a Tick­et, You will be asked to expli­citly acknow­ledge and agree to these Terms and their applic­ab­il­ity by tick­ing a box. Unless provided oth­er­wise through expli­cit and writ­ten agree­ment of IBB, all oth­er terms and con­di­tions, that ori­gin­ate from You or a third party, are excluded. IBB reserves the right to amend these Terms at its con­veni­ence. The Terms applic­able to You will be the Terms applic­able at the time of Your use of the Website. 

II. Use of the Website 

The inform­a­tion pub­lished on the Web­site is giv­en for the sole pur­pose of inform­ing you of our activ­it­ies regard­ing our event and pur­chas­ing Tick­ets as described in art­icle IV below. Any oth­er use is expressly pro­hib­ited, espe­cially any unlaw­ful use or use that harms the interests of IBB and our part­ners, includ­ing but not lim­ited to excess­ive or abus­ive use of the Web­site and its resources, or any abuse of secur­ity weaknesses.

III. Tick­ets and Price 

All inform­a­tion pub­lished on the Web­site, includ­ing in rela­tion to the Tick­ets, is pub­lished and main­tained by IBB with appro­pri­ate pre­ci­sion and at its best effort. Nev­er­the­less, the pos­sib­il­ity exists that the inform­a­tion is incom­plete, not up to date or incor­rect. IBB is not bound to appar­ent mis­takes or errors in the offer and can­not be held liable for mater­i­al mis­takes or typos. 

The pur­chase of Tick­ets is sub­ject to avail­ab­il­ity and IBB can­not be held liable if Tick­ets are sold out. Spe­cif­ic con­di­tions or lim­ited valid­ity of offers will be expli­citly men­tioned. The price pay­able is the price as stip­u­lated on the Web­site at the time of purchasing. 

The par­ti­cip­a­tion fee is applic­able per per­son and per event and is sub­ject to VAT. Ser­vices included in the par­ti­cip­a­tion fee are bind­ingly announced. In gen­er­al, the par­ti­cip­a­tion fee com­prises con­ven­tion mater­i­al, bever­ages (dur­ing breaks) and, if applic­able, lunch or dinner. 

IV. Pur­chase of Tick­ets via the Website 

Through the web­site You can register for the con­fer­ence and pur­chase a Tick­et, which will be pro­cessed either dir­ectly by us or by one of our sub­con­tract­ors. For some events We may offer an option to enter a dis­count code, how­ever, please note that dis­count codes can­not be com­bined, nor can they be applied ret­ro­act­ively. You will be asked to fill out Your con­tact inform­a­tion, which is required to place Your order and to receive a con­firm­a­tion of sub­mis­sion to Your e‑mail address. You agree and war­rant to only provide val­id, accur­ate, com­plete, and up to date inform­a­tion dur­ing the order process. 

The place­ment of a bind­ing order through the Web­site is regarded as equi­val­ent to an elec­tron­ic sig­na­ture, which between IBB and You will have the same value as a writ­ten sig­na­ture. It provides evid­ence that the order is com­plete and estab­lishes a leg­ally bind­ing sales agree­ment gov­erned by these Terms. The sales agree­ment will be archived by IBB. Once Your order is placed and received by IBB, You will receive the ordered Tick­ets along with a detailed con­firm­a­tion of the order, and the amounts paid via the e‑mail address provided by You dur­ing the order pro­cess. You acknow­ledge and agree that this order con­firm­a­tion con­sti­tutes a dur­able medi­um that cap­tures the essence of the sales agree­ment as con­cluded between IBB and You. 

V. Pay­ment

Invoices will be issued as of pay­ment. The respect­ive amount is due at 14 days’ sight without deduc­tion fol­low­ing the invoice by IBB. Depend­ing on the tick­et sys­tem used, You have dif­fer­ent options for pay­ing the due amount. When pay­ing by cred­it card, Your card may be charged from the moment You place the order. Please note that the book­ing is only val­id after receiv­ing the full amount of the pay­ment. There­fore, You are not allowed to attend the event or use any meet­ing tool/​conference plat­form before pay­ment of the full invoice amount is received. 

Stat­utory default reg­u­la­tions apply.

Use of the Tick­et and par­ti­cip­a­tion in the event 

IBB can object the accept­ance of par­ti­cipants, presenters, mod­er­at­ors, or exhib­it­ors for events organ­ized by IBB, includ­ing con­fer­ences and fairs. Trans­fer­ring the Tick­et to a third party is sub­ject to IBB’s approval.

IBB reserves the right to veri­fy the buyer’s iden­tity at any giv­en time. Access to the con­fer­ence site will only be gran­ted to per­sons with a val­id Ticket. 

Without pri­or per­mis­sion in writ­ing of IBB, it is for­bid­den to bring to the con­fer­ence site pro­fes­sion­al pho­to­graphy, film or record­ing equip­ment. Enter­ing the con­fer­ence site implies your agree­ment with all pre­vent­ive and mon­it­or­ing meas­ures taken by IBB or the safety team of the event loc­a­tion includ­ing poten­tial frisk­ing and bag searches. Fail­ing to com­ply with these meas­ures will lead to refus­al or with­draw­al of the right of access.

You accept that the images, approved by you, inter­views, and videos taken dur­ing the event are pub­lished and broad­cas­ted on the radio, TV, in print media, books and online media without hav­ing any right to compensate.

It may be pos­sible that IBB events com­prise online plat­forms for match­mak­ing or online present­a­tion. The use and tech­nic­al aspects of such online applic­a­tions used for the event, will be gov­erned by the terms and con­di­tions of the platform(s) itself. Be aware that an event may be recor­ded. IBB has no influ­ence on the struc­ture and organ­iz­a­tion of the soft­ware applic­a­tion or record­ing tool providers. 

An event’s par­ti­cipants list might be pub­lished con­tain­ing par­ti­cipants’ com­pany or insti­tu­tion, name and sur­name, title, and pos­i­tions, if neces­sary. When regis­ter­ing, par­ti­cipants expli­citly accept that their data be stored and trans­mit­ted for the pur­pose of their pub­lic­a­tion in the par­ti­cipants’ list. 

VI. Can­cel­la­tion and refunds 

Par­ti­cipants registered with an event organ­ized by IBB can can­cel their par­ti­cip­a­tion in writ­ing. The fol­low­ing can­cel­la­tion fees apply: 

• can­cel­la­tion fees between 30 and 16 days pri­or to the event start amount to 25 % of the selec­ted Tick­et price 
• can­cel­la­tion fees between 15 and 8 days pri­or to the event start amount to 50 % of the selec­ted Tick­et price
• can­cel­la­tion fees with­in the last 7 days pri­or to the event start or in case of non-attend­ance amount to 100 % of the selec­ted Tick­et price.

Changes to the pro­gram are no reas­on for a full or par­tial refund of the event Tick­et. Par­ti­cipants will be informed in due course, if the event’s real­iz­a­tion is impossible or unreas­on­able, for instance due to force majeure, dis­turb­ances at the event’s loc­a­tion, speak­ers’ inab­il­ity to attend, or insuf­fi­cient par­ti­cipant num­bers, two weeks pri­or to the event. Sub­ject to these scen­ari­os, the par­ti­cip­a­tion fee will be reim­bursed. A claim to refund travel or accom­mod­a­tion costs and absent­ee­ism is pre­cluded unless such costs emerged due to IBB’s inten­tion­al or reck­less performance. 

VII. Loss or theft of Tickets 

The loss or theft of the event Tick­et is Your liab­il­ity and is not sub­ject to replace­ment or refund.

VIII. Liab­il­ity

IBB can only be held liable for proven dam­ages caused by its or its sub­con­tract­ors’ grave error or fraud. IBB is in no event liable for Tick­ets which are not pur­chased on the Web­site or on the event location.

IBB assumes no respons­ib­il­ity in the case of events bey­ond its con­trol. Under no cir­cum­stances shall IBB be liable for the inter­rup­tion, dis­con­tinu­ation and/​or can­cel­la­tion of the event due to force majeure (e.g. excep­tion­al met­eor­o­lo­gic­al cir­cum­stances, ter­ror­ist threat, ill­ness, death or absence of an announced speak­er) or insuf­fi­cient par­ti­cipant num­bers two weeks pri­or to the event. We reserve the right to sub­sti­tute announced speak­ers and take oth­er required changes con­cern­ing the event sched­ule to elim­in­ate pos­sible real­iz­a­tion hurdles by pre­serving the event’s char­ac­ter and by accom­mod­at­ing all con­cerned interests.

IBB is not respons­ible and can­not be held liable for any short­com­ing, not even when res­ult­ing from a grave error, neg­li­gence or fraud in the ser­vices of third parties on which the Web­site or the pro­vi­sion of the event rely but which are bey­ond IBB’s con­trol (e.g., ser­vices provided by tele­com pro­viders or pay­ment ser­vice providers). 

If a privat­ized coat check will be avail­able for par­ti­cipants, IBB can­not be held liable for any cases of theft or dam­age to per­son­al belongings. 

IBB shall not be liable for any per­son­al injur­ies or acci­dents that may occur at the event site. 

COV­ID-19: In view of the hygiene concept of the ven­ue will be held, the organ­izers will fol­low the health secur­ity rules, which are applic­able on the days of the event. These will be com­mu­nic­ated to par­ti­cipants ahead of the event. Non-com­pli­ance of the health secur­ity rules will res­ult in loss of access to the event.

IX. Data Pro­tec­tion

You expressly declare Your vol­un­tary and at any time revoc­able con­sent to the pro­cessing of all data required for the exe­cu­tion of the con­tract with the order con­firm­a­tion. In addi­tion, You expli­citly acknow­ledge the trans­fer of Your data to third parties for the pur­pose of the con­tract imple­ment­a­tion only.

X. Applic­able Law and Jurisdiction 

Unless oth­er­wise provided for by man­dat­ory law, these Terms are gov­erned by Ger­man law. 

XI. Mis­cel­laneous

These Terms, includ­ing its annex, bind­ing orders, and confirmation(s) there­of, con­tain the entire agree­ment and under­stand­ing between IBB and You with regard to the use of the Web­site and any orders. It will super­sede and replace any pri­or writ­ten or oral agree­ment or under­stand­ing between IBB and You in this regard, which would be still in force. IBB is entitled to rely on sub­con­tract­ors for the ful­fil­ment of its oblig­a­tions under these Terms. All rights and oblig­a­tions with respect to IBB in the frame of these Terms can be trans­ferred in whole or in part to a third party without Your con­sent. Whenev­er pos­sible, the pro­vi­sions of these Terms shall be inter­preted in such a man­ner as to be val­id and enforce­able under the applic­able law. How­ever, if one or more pro­vi­sions of these Terms are found to be inval­id, illeg­al, or unen­force­able, in whole or in part, the remainder of that pro­vi­sion and of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect as if such inval­id, illeg­al, or unen­force­able pro­vi­sion had nev­er been con­tained herein. Moreover, in such an event, IBB shall amend the inval­id, illeg­al or unen­force­able provision(s) or any part there­of and/​or agree on a new pro­vi­sion, in such a way as to reflect inso­far as pos­sible the pur­pose of the inval­id, illeg­al, or unen­force­able provision(s). No course of deal­ing or fail­ure of IBB or You to strictly enforce any term, right or con­di­tions of these Terms shall be con­strued as a waiver of such term, right or con­di­tion. No express waiver of any term, right or con­di­tion of these Terms shall oper­ate as a waiver of any oth­er term, right or condition.
